I never really got on the Nutella bandwagon. For some reason, I just never super enjoyed it. I can remember circles full of girls dipping and scooping and swallowing their way into Nutella-intoxication during my college years. I tried to dip a pretzel or two, but I was never wow-ed. Once I even won a gift basket from a competition that included Nutella (as if the jar itself was the grand prize). I promptly gave the Nutella to my roommate without a shadow of remorse.
But then I came to Harry's Bakery, a well-hidden bakery in downtown. The desserts there are simply beautiful, the kind that makes you feel the slightest twinge of guilt before demolishing their Instagram-worthy selves. For whatever reason, I decided to order a Nutella turnover, maybe in hopes that Harry's Bakery could make me feel what every other female on the planet seems to feel about Nutella.

Consider me sold! The turnover was absolutely amazing! Fluffy pastry crust delicately surrounding a seeming lake of Nutella, all in one pretty package. Not to mention the ambience of Harry's Bakery, which is perfect for slowing down to read a book or chat with a friend.

Needless to say, I am majorly hooked on this place. Since my Nutella encounter, I've returned to order a mocha cupcake, the most crumbly blueberry scone ever, and gulps and gulps of flavored coffee. I would say that Harry's is my new Lynchburg fave for sweet treats (and that's saying a lot).

Also, I ate a Nutella crepe this week. I think I'm finally catching on.
