Come out to the Bean Tree Cafe for some trivia! Get the lavender lemonade while you're there for a unique treat!

Description: Trivia night; drinks and light fare

Cost: Free, except for cost of drinks

Great for: Night out with friends

Time: 7pm on Tuesdays

Not sure why, but has anyone else noticed a resurrection of trivia recently? My former associations with trivia were only Snapple caps and a dusty old game my mom found at a yard sale. But in my college years, I've seen trivia nights become quite the rage. So obviously, Lynchburg hosts several opportunities to test your factoid knowledge!

The Bean Tree Cafe (near the Cornerstone apartment complex) hosts trivia every Tuesday night at 7pm. Tables are usually filled, so make sure to be there a bit in advance. The event is free itself, though you're bound to get something to swig while you're here. Hello, lovely purple drink.

Lavender lemonade, which was FREE with my Bean Tree app!

I originally tried the lavender lemonade on a whim, thinking it would be nominally lavender. Not so! The lavender actually comes out as a pretty strong accent to a sweet lemonade base. (The color probably helps with that taste, too...) A great drink for you coffee-haters and caffeine-intolerants!

Here's a bonus tip, too: download the Bean Tree app to get "stamps" on your electronic membership card. Also, there's a daily trivia question to the left of the counter. If you answer correctly, you get two stamps for one drink purchase. Once you accumulate ten stamps, you get a FREE drink of any size, any flavor (including smoothies!). If you're a true trivia fiend, you only have to go five times to get your reward!
